Curriculum
The British International Boarding School has the following curriculum aims:
1. To create a supportive and caring learning environment that gives the students experience in linguistic, mathematical, scientific, technological, human and social, physical and aesthetic and creative education through the core academic and activity programme.
2. To provide challenging learning experiences appropriate to the age, ability and aptitude of all students.
3. To enable students to achieve that best possible qualifications for higher education and beyond.
4. To inspire our students and instill in them a love of learning, inquiry and knowledge to that they question, discuss rationally and make informed decisions.
5. To enable students to develop the skills and attitudes that motivate them to learn and are necessary for independent learning.
6. To ensure that depth and rigor are balanced by breadth and coherence in our curriculum.
7. To teach students self-respect through an understanding of their own self-worth.
8. To enable students to respect, appreciate and acknowledge the achievements and aspirations of others.
9. To teach students to be positive members of a community through respect for and commitment to the ideals of the School – International understanding, Wellbeing, Environmental awareness, Adventure, Leadership and Service to the community
At the British International Boarding School we aim to produce young men and women of independent judgment who can express themselves articulately in speech and clearly on paper. Our academic structure is one where students study courses that lead to IGCSE examinations.
